Position Title: Therapist- LCSW/ LMFT
Location: Coachella Valley Recovery Center (CVRC), Coachella Valley, California
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Program Director/ Clinical Director
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to work with a highly skilled and compassionate team of CVRC treatment professionals who provide service members and veterans suffering from substance abuse problems and co-occurring disorders in a residential capacity with therapeutic approaches that allow them to cope with their mental illness and reintegrate in back into their communities.
Duties:
- Provide Supervision for MFT or PsyD Interns as applicable and per BBS requirements as assigned.
- Generate individualized initial and follow up treatment plans for clients.
- Lead case conferences once a week.
- Help train clinical staff on suicide assessment and ANTE.
- Facilitate group sessions for clients in the residential, and detox programs.
- Provide one on one therapy to help clients reach their treatment goals.
- Perform case management duties in a timely, thorough, and organized manner.
- Communicate with members of each client’s treatment team across all agency programs.
- Always ensure HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements.
- All other duties assigned within scope of practice.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
- Current LMFT, LPCC, LCSW or PsyD in the State of CA is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a substance abuse disorder treatment setting or behavioral healthcare environment.
- Experience and understanding of substance use disorders and mental illness.
- At least 1 year of experience working with clients that have been victims of sexual exploitation with appropriate training in ANTE.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including analytical and problem-solving.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, substance abuse disorders, recovery principles, and therapeutic interventions.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
- Apply specialized evidence-based approaches, including but not limited to: EMDR, CPT, CBT, DBT, Grief and Loss, Relapse Prevention, and Survivors Guilt/Moral Injury.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of vital signs monitoring.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with diverse groups of people.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a desire to help others achieve recovery and wellness.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Dazos CRM systems, or related software.
- Candidate must have prior military experience, be a U.S. military veteran or military spouse, or possess professional experience working directly with military personnel or the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
