Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavior Therapist to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and other behavioral support services to individuals with developmental and behavioral challenges in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions. Preference will be given to candidates with ABA certification or experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to clients in homes, schools, or clinical settings.
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed and supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and document data during therapy sessions to track client progress and support analysis.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to increase desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with clients and their families to encourage progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members about therapy goals and progress.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred; training provided for eligible candidates.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ABA principles and practices.
- Knowledge of data collection methods and behavior analysis tools.
- Experience working in diverse environments, including homes, schools, and clinics.
Work Environment:
- Flexible scheduling options, including part-time and full-time availability.
- Work may be conducted in various settings, such as homes, schools, or clinics, based on client needs.
