Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be to support clients in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life through effective behavioral strategies.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client behaviors to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions.
- Conduct patient assessments to identify needs and develop appropriate strategies for support.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with team members and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide education and support regarding behavioral health strategies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to applied behavior analysis and client care.
Qualifications
- Experience or coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical records management, diagnostic evaluation, and patient assessment techniques is beneficial.
- Familiarity with behavioral health concepts, particularly in working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Strong data collection skills to accurately track client progress over time.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while maintaining a compassionate approach towards clients.
