Insight Global is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for one of their clients! See below for details:

Position: School Psychologist

Student Population: Split between early childhood and high school

Duration: 9 month contract (August 14th - May 22nd)

Interview: 1 and done virtual

Must haves

  • Master's or higher degree in school psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist Endorsement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Assessment Expertise: Skilled in psychological, academic, behavioral, and standardized testing tools.
  • Child Development: Deep understanding of developmental stages and disabilities (e.g., ASD, SLD, E/BD).
  • Intervention Strategies: Knowledge of evidence-based practices, behavior modification, and instructional interventions.
  • Legal & Ethical Standards: Familiar with state/federal laws, especially special education and Section 504.
  • Data & Technology: Proficient in statistics, report writing, and software (MS Word, Excel, assessment tools).
  • Communication: Strong oral/written skills for collaboration, counseling, and presentations.
  • Cultural Competence: Able to work effectively with diverse populations; Spanish-speaking preferred.
  • Teamwork & Confidentiality: Works well in teams, maintains confidentiality, and builds strong relationships.

Essential Functions

  • Assessment & Evaluation: Conducts comprehensive evaluations (academic, behavioral, emotional) and interprets results.
  • IEP & 504 Support: Participates in IEP/504 planning, writes reports, and ensures compliance with legal standards.
  • Counseling & Crisis Response: Provides individual/group counseling and crisis intervention.
  • Consultation & Collaboration: Works with families, teachers, and agencies to support student needs.
  • Behavioral Support: Develops FBAs, BIPs, and supports positive behavioral change.
  • Program Development: Assists in designing special education programs and transition planning.
  • Documentation: Maintains accurate records, billing, and communication logs.
  • Professional Engagement: Attends meetings, provides training, and may serve as administrative designee.
  • Mobility: Travels between multiple sites as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
