Your Impact as a School Psychologist

In this role, youll assess student needs through evaluations and observations, develop individualized intervention strategies, and contribute to IEP development. You'll provide counseling services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support both preventative and crisis-response efforts. Your ability to identify and address academic, social, and behavioral challenges will create safer, more inclusive learning environments across the district.

Required Qualifications Virginia

To qualify in Virginia, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Masters, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology

  • Valid Virginia Postgraduate Professional License with School Psychologist endorsement

  • Proficiency in psychoeducational evaluations and behavioral planning

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families

  • Completion of all district-required fingerprinting and background checks
