Responsibilities

A leading hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, has an open Adult Inpatient Psychiatry position.

About the Position:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Call: 1 week of backup call every 8-12 weeks
• Facility: Teaching hospital and academic appointment with top US school
• Patient Volume: 6-8 per day
• 24-bed inpatient unit
• Team Structure: Psychiatrist, social worker, medical students, residents
• Must be board-certified

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered MD or DO Psychiarist Massachusetts state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
• One year of work experience as an Adult Psychiatrist
• One year of EMR experience

• Board Certified

• A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as is the ability to work independently and interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational skills, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
