We are looking for a School Counselor at Sharon High School that utilizes culturally proficient practices to respond to the personal, social-emotional, and mental health needs of students and personalize the academic and post-secondary planning process for students.
Additionally, the school counselor's responsibilities include assessing student academic and/or social-emotional functioning and consult with support staff and teachers. Provide individual and/or group academic, post-secondary and career counseling to all students on assigned caseload. Attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) and 504 plan meetings and manage cases.
Track, monitor and counsel students in course selection to align with graduation requirements and post-secondary plans. Deliver department-developed presentations/workshops for students and parents. Attend district wide, school based meetings, training and professional development.
License:
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Commonwealth of Mass. license as a school guidance counselor (6-12)
