Children in Need, Child Protection

Location: North West

Pay rate: £39 per hour

We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to work in the Children in Need, Child Protection Team based in North West. This role offers flexible working with 3 days in the office.

You will be committed to providing an effective child-centred service to children in need of support and protection, contributing to service strategies, policies, and procedures as required. Your goal will be to ensure positive and sustainable outcomes for children, using best practices and a passion for supporting children and their families.

Ideal candidate will be:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.


• Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.


• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking.


• Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues.


• Dedicated to continuous improvement for the best outcomes.


• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.


• Skilled in building meaningful relationships with clients.


• Committed to high-quality service delivery.


• Experienced in multi-disciplinary, interagency work.


• 2+ years qualified experience.

In this role, you will:

• Assess risks, protection, and social care needs.


• Manage an agreed caseload.


• Use communication skills to achieve outcomes.


• Devise individual care plans respecting diversity and promoting dignity.


• Support and advise unqualified staff and students.
