Department Overview

The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions.


Position Summary
Seeking a clinical social worker (LICSW preferred) to support critical social work coverage including patients presenting with mental health or behavioral crisis. Clinical Social Workers provide trauma informed care and work from an equity lens to support patients and families facing unexpected admissions, trauma, grief/loss, end of life, barriers to discharge and basic needs. Primary responsibility to complete crisis mental health assessments and support connection to inpatient mental health or alternative safe discharge plan developed in partnership with caregivers. Ability to provide clinical social work support as needed throughout the hospital.
