Position Summary
William & Mary Student Health Center invites applicants for a full-time or part-time, psychiatric nurse practitioner position. This person will serve as part of a multidisciplinary team in providing outpatient mental health treatment to enrolled students. Responsibilities include evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and appropriate medical management of mental health conditions; maintenance of appropriate documentation; crisis intervention and recommendations as needed; consultation to other health professionals within the Health and Wellness units; and education/training related to mental health conditions of late adolescence and early adulthood. Consultation with departments within the Division of Student Affairs and the University, based on established Releases of Information and as allowed by the Law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Required Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have a Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program; completed the required 500 faculty supervised clinical hours; passed the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner examination; certified or eligible for certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia; and current DEA certification.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who have a minimum of 3 years of experience; who have prior experience with college and university students or emerging adult populations; CPR certification; demonstrated success working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
