Job Description:
Overview: The behavioral technician plays a critical role in assisting the Board-Certified Behavioral Analysts with facilitating treatments plans that will help the patient communicate/ function more effectively. The position involves implementing behavior plans, assisting in restructuring environments and activities to support the students' behaviors, aid in promoting the growth, socialization, and independence of students.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Student Care:
- Provide direct care to students, including assisting with daily activities, facilitating implementation of behavior plans, and teaching skills that will help the student communicate and function more effectively.
- Monitor and assess the mental status of students and promptly address any behavior concerns.
- Collaborate with behavior analysts, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of the student.
- Health Record Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date behavior data and other relevant information for all students.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with health information privacy laws.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with Board Certified Behavioral Analysts, and other healthcare professionals to address student needs.
- Professional Development:
- Stay informed about current healthcare trends, best practices, and regulations related to behavioral health.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain required certifications
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with knowledge of relevant health laws and regulations.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in related field strongly preferred
