Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Independently Licensed Therapist located in our Worcester location (training completed at Northborough location). The Therapist will be responsible for conducting individual therapy sessions, developing personalized treatment plans, maintaining accurate patient records, potential supervision, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. The Therapist will also participate in team meetings, engage in continued education, and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor progress throughout the therapeutic process.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care and resources for clients.
- Provide spiritual/faith-based counseling as needed, respecting the beliefs and values of clients.
- Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to mental health practices.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops.
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
- Weekly meetings with Director of Outpatient Services.
- Biweekly Staff Meetings held by COO.
- Clinical case review meetings with multidisciplinary MHWC team.
Skills
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and patient assessment methodologies.
- Strong understanding of social work principles and practices.
- Experience with group therapy facilitation and dynamics.
- Familiarity with medical documentation requirements within a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Knowledge of mental health case management and crisis intervention.
- Ability to evaluate therapeutic progress and modify as needed.
- Strong understanding of legal/ethical patient rights.
- Strong understanding of holistic practices and healing.

Qualifications
- Counseling, Psychotherapy, and Clinical Diagnostic skills
- Experience with treatment of mental health and substance use disorders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or equivalent
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards
