We are seeking two skilled Psychiatry Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity near Milpitas, CA. Position Overview:

• Specialty : Psychiatry (Inpatient)
• Start Date : ASAP
• End Date : Ongoing, through February 7, 2025 (potentially longer)
• Shift Details :
  • Weekday Hours : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
  • Weekend Coverage : 1 weekend per month, rounding only from 8:00 AM 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday
  • No Overnight Call

Work Details:

• Patient Demographics :
  • Age Group : Adults 18+ (No pediatric patients)
  • Patients Per Shift : Up to 14 on weekdays
  • Bed Count : 67 inpatient beds
  • Rounding : Required on assigned patients
  • Practice Setting : Inpatient behavioral health department
  • EMR System : Cerner

Requirements:

• Board Certification : Must be board certified in Psychiatry
• Licensing :
  • State License : Active California medical license required
  • Temporary Privileges : Available if needed
• Certifications :
  • BLS : Required
• Credentialing Timeframe : Estimated at 60 days
• Hospital Privileges : Not required, but admissions are part of the role

• Holidays Observed : New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
• Backup Coverage : No overnight call duties, only weekend rounding as needed
• Stroke Certification : The facility is stroke certified
