A K-12 Counselor position is available for the upcoming school year at a school located in Bixby, Oklahoma. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide critical support and guidance to students across all grade levels in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling services to K-12 students to address academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans.
- Support students in career exploration, goal setting, and personal development.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid counselor certification or licensure appropriate for K-12 education.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusting relationships with students.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques, mental health issues, and relevant legal requirements.
