About Job

Overview

The Partnerships & Outreach Director is a key leadership role responsible for developing, managing, and nurturing relationships between Kindred Curiosity and external stakeholders, including organizations, small businesses, and sponsors. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with them, this position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a knack for building strong relationships, and a passion for advancing Kindred Curiosity’s mission through successful partnerships and outreach initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Partnership Development and Collaboration:

  • Proactively identify and pursue partnership opportunities that align with Kindred Curiosity’s mission and strategic objectives, ensuring that potential collaborations are strategically aligned with our goals
  • Craft and carry out a clear and practical partnership strategy that includes goals, action steps, and ways to measure success
  • Engage with other directors to identify areas where partnerships could add significant value.
  • Leverage input from directors to design targeted partnership proposals, including sponsorships and events.


Relationship Management:

  • Develop proposals, pitches, and presentations to secure new partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication between Kindred Curiosity and its partners.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with partners and sponsors.


Reporting and Evaluation:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and outreach activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on partnership performance, including metrics and impact assessments.


You’d be a great fit if you:

  • Estimated time commitment: Ranging from 15-20 hours per month
  • Volunteer term will go until December 2026
  • Location: SF Bay Area
