An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential psychological services in a high school setting, covering a maternity leave from August through November. This role is pivotal in supporting the diverse needs of approximately 800 students, ensuring their educational and emotional well-being through targeted evaluations and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Valid state license or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in high school environments
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills, particularly with adolescent populations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrative staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school climate

Location:
Chicopee, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students, approximately eight per month
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff
  • Provide counseling and support services to students facing academic and emotional challenges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address student needs and promote welfare
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to a comprehensive approach to student care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student evaluations and interventions
