Position Summary: Provides evening SAIOP (Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient) services to individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders in our Shallotte office. Licensed therapist will provide outpatient treatment services for clients with behavioral health disorders – including treatment planning, and individual, family and group therapy. Provides independent diagnostic, psycho-social and professional counseling for clients (adults) with complicated substance use, mental health and co-occurring disorders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.
  • Hold weekly SAIOP group meetings in evening and on weeks
  • Complete documentation related to group meetings
  • Treatment Planning and Referral
  • Completion of Comprehensive Clinical Assessments
  • Crisis intervention and planning
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Case Management Services
  • Other duties as assigned by the program director.
Job Standards/Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degreen in Behavioral Health Services or related field. Must have LCAS (LCASA’s are not accepted)

Physical

  • Frequent sitting at desk or computer while typing, completing paperwork, or meeting with patients.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying, paperwork, files, office supplies, up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional push/pull exerting up to 5-10 lbs. force, opening doors, file drawers, pushing files in drawers
  • Occasional kneeling/crouching and/or ability to reach lower file drawers, file stretching to store or retrieve materials.

Mental

Position requires constant mental alertness, attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy required in completing all assignments. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and follow-through on all assignments.
