About Job

The Red Rock Job Corps Mental Health Consultant will provide comprehensive evaluation, education and intervention services to students who are experiencing emotional disturbances of developmental disabilities. The objective is the enhancement of adjustment in the student's environment and in the community through intervention in crises, alleviation of stress, recommendations for the use of medication when indicated through consultation with the Center physician, continuity of therapy for those students transferred from other services, and focusing on barriers that would affect employability and successful community integration.


QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: The position requires a Pennsylvania license in clinical social work (LCSW). The individual should possess the ability to work effectively with adolescents and children and have a thorough understanding of therapeutic interventions and treatment planning. Good oral and written communication skills as well as an understanding of the philosophy, mandates and operation of community mental health services are needed.

  • $4000 sign-on bonus (50% granted at 6 months of employment, remainder granted at 1 year of employment.)

Per-diem: From $35/hours

Schedule: Monday to Friday

This position requires the successful completion of an FBI Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance and Child Abuse Clearance.
