Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program (OTP)

** PAID INTERN TO FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY **

Seeking: Counselor Intern - Substance/Opioid Use Disorder

  • Must be eligible for registration with the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB)

  • We will assist with the registration process

  • Also considering those with an active CADC-R or LCAS-R

Full Time Hours:

Weekdays with

occasional rotating Saturday mornings:

  • Monday - Friday: 4:45 AM - 1:15 PM

  • Saturday: 5:00 AM - 7:00 AM (occasional, on rotation)

Your Role as a Counselor Intern:

The Counselor Intern is a an individual seeking credentialing or licensure with the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB) and seeking practical work experience in an outpatient setting.

Intern Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of a licensed professional, may co-facilitate group or family sessions;

  • May be present and assist with initial assessments of patients;

  • May prepare, for review and approval by licensed professionals, treatment plans for patients;

  • Ensures all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents are completed timely and in a clear, concise manner for review and approval by licensed professionals;

  • May evaluate patient's needs and, working with a licensed professional, may determine if referral to other programs or services is needed;

  • Other duties may be assigned by a licensed professional overseeing and responsible for the intern's work, within the professional, legal, and ethical parameters of the counseling internship.

Qualifications:

Your Education, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of HS diploma or GED equivalent required;

  • Ideal for candidates seeking a degree in Counseling, Social Work, or other related theraputic behavioral health degree

Your Skills & Experience:

  • No previous professional experience in clinical field required; prefer b

    asic knowledge of counseling or therapeutic concepts acquired through education or training by an accredited college or university.

  • Ideal for those seeking clinical work experience in an outpatient OTP (opioid treatment program) setting

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB)

  • We will assist with the registration process

  • Also considering those with an active CADC-R or LCAS-R
