Behavior Technician (BT) Position Overview: We are looking for caring, driven individuals to become Behavior Technicians in our team. You’ll work directly with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), helping implement customized behavior intervention plans and teaching vital life skills in various environments, such as homes and schools. As a Behavior Technician, you’ll be instrumental in delivering evidence-based interventions, tracking progress, and supporting clients in reaching their goals.
Behavior Technician (BT) Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) created by the BCBA to address each client’s specific needs and objectives.
- Deliver one-on-one direct instruction to clients using ABA methods such as discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching, and behavior management strategies.
- Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using designated methods and tools.
- Support clients in developing and practicing functional skills across areas like communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.
- Cultivate a positive, engaging learning environment that promotes independence and motivation.
- Work with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team to assess client progress, adjust plans, and maintain consistency across settings.
- Maintain open communication with clients, families, and team members, sharing relevant updates and progress reports.
- Take part in continuous training and development to further enhance ABA skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Ability to accurately follow instructions, implement behavior plans, and collect detailed data.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to client locations in homes, schools, or other settings as needed.
- Dedication to ethical standards, client confidentiality, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
- Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to helping individuals with developmental challenges reach their potential.
