Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Crisis Response Counselor to our Behavioral Care Management department at Baptist Jacksonville. This is a PRN evenings opportunity.

As a Crisis Response Counselor at Baptist, you will answer calls 24/7 on the crisis community hotline. Behavioral health screenings, admissions, transfers & providing assistance from crisis counseling to initiate law enforcement wellchecks are amongst some of the duties included in a typical day.

As a Crisis Response Counselor, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering and triage crisis calls on 24/7 community hotline.
  • Providing appropriate assistance from crisis counseling to initiating law enforcement wellcheck.
  • Facilitating admission transfers from medical floors, EDs and external facilities to inpatient units.
  • Completing behavioral health screenings on medical floors as needed.
