About Job
Department Summary
Our Waltham Psychiatry Service includes both our 12-bed inpatient psychiatric unit that provides psychiatric assessment and brief intensive treatment for patients who are in the midst of a psychiatric crisis, and our Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) Program, a 12-bed intensive, short-term acute residential unit for children and adolescents experiencing behavioral health difficulties. Our CBAT program provides children with treatment and stabilization in a structured setting that can act as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or a bridge between an inpatient hospitalization and home. We work with families to help children to learn living and coping skills in a safe community environment that supports a successful return to their family and school.
