Position Description Advertised Job Summary This staff position is within the Department of Enrollment and Student Services. The recruiter will be responsible for traveling throughout the five county service area to high schools, community groups, and other organizations to recruit students to our campuses. The recruiter will report to the Director of Recruiting regarding recruitment, enrollment goals, strategies, and results Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of student services programs & activities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, administrators, staff, students, parents, and community patrons. Job Duties Job Duty Travel to and participate in various recruitment events throughout the Salkehatchie region (Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Colleton, and Hampton counties) and other assigned service areas including Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties to recruit students. Participate in on-campus recruiting events including open house, Saturday visits, orientation, and other special events. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 70 Job Duty Conduct follow-up communications to potential students to include but not limited to: phone calls, emails, mail outs, face-to-face contacts, and campus tours. Student information will be stored in CRM system. Admission reports will be evaluated on a weekly basis. Weekly recaps are turned in as necessary. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Admissions Counselor will serve as academic advisor to students attending both East and West campuses. Students are helped with choosing classes that fit into their degree of choice. Will also assist students with change of campus, completion of admissions and financial aid files, setting up email, SSC , and blackboard.
