Qualifications:
- Completion of a BCBA approved course sequence in applied behavior analysis
- Recent graduate of an ABA Masters or BCBA certificate program with an exam test date within three months of application
- BCBA or BCaBA required
- Minimum 1 years’ experience with school age children a plus
- Minimum of one year working with students with behavioral needs a plus
- Valid Arizona special education teaching certificate
- Board Certification through the Board Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field
- Teaching experience in general education and special education classrooms
- Effective: 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR
Responsibilities:
- BCBA is a school professional designated to work with school teams for behavioral and instructional support to maximize student achievement and social emotional growth.
- The role of the behavior specialist is to affect behavior change and provide systemic training, support, and oversight in the implementation of behavior strategies and intervention plans.
