Qualifications:

  • Completion of a BCBA approved course sequence in applied behavior analysis
  • Recent graduate of an ABA Masters or BCBA certificate program with an exam test date within three months of application
  • BCBA or BCaBA required
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience with school age children a plus
  • Minimum of one year working with students with behavioral needs a plus
  • Valid Arizona special education teaching certificate
  • Board Certification through the Board Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field
  • Teaching experience in general education and special education classrooms
  • Effective: 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR


Responsibilities:

  • BCBA is a school professional designated to work with school teams for behavioral and instructional support to maximize student achievement and social emotional growth.
  • The role of the behavior specialist is to affect behavior change and provide systemic training, support, and oversight in the implementation of behavior strategies and intervention plans.
