This position is located in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center-Behavioral Health in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia .

Position available for a full-time Clinical Psychologist at Fort Eisenhower, adjacent to Augusta, Georgia, famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft Eisenhower has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains. The Augusta area is a growing community with an excellent quality of life. A wide variety of cultural and outdoor recreational activities are readily available locally, and many more are easily accessible from the coast to the mountains. Augusta has a vibrant professional medical environment, including the Medical College of Georgia and other referral medical centers. The cost of living is quite reasonable, with quality homes at good prices.

As a Clinical Psychologist you will:
  • Provide individual and group therapy, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy.
  • Assess acute mental health conditions in beneficiaries who present with such issues.
  • Screen and interview patients, perform bio-psychological social evaluations using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling.
  • Evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts, and institute changes to increase effectiveness of therapeutic efforts.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required
  • One year experience as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
  • Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.
