Job Description
Department: Early Childhood Services
Reports To: Regional Director and MECA Management Team
Role Overview: The ALFSC assists the Lead FSC in staff training and compliance, and manages a caseload of families.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience: Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, special education, early childhood education, or related field. Alternatively, two years of relevant experience in serving individuals with disabilities or related work may substitute.
General Requirements
- Attend service coordination training modules Part I and II
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills
- Ability to train FSCs
- Maintain confidentiality
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Essential Duties
The ALFSC will operate within regulations and MECA policies, including but not limited to:
- Supporting FSC coaching and feedback
- Scheduling and conducting FSC coaching sessions
- Training new and existing FSC staff
- Participating in leadership meetings and outreach events
- Other duties as assigned
Caseload Management
Ensure families receive FSC services by:
- Monitoring caseloads
- Carrying a caseload of 20 children
- Managing overflow caseloads as needed
- Supporting initial IFSP meetings with increased referrals
Productivity and Documentation
Ensure timely meetings, billing, and accurate documentation by:
- Tracking caseload productivity
- Maintaining 100% productivity
- Reviewing contact logs and guiding FSCs on billable items
- Ensuring accurate and complete documentation in FITKIDS and ZOHO
Staff Development and Supervision
Provide support, training, and supervision to staff through:
- Training FSCs
- Ensuring registration for required trainings
- Participating in leadership meetings
- Mentoring FSCs
- Facilitating meetings and community trainings
Supervision and Quality Assurance
Receive and provide supervision, and maintain service quality by:
- Receiving supervision from LFSC and Regional Director
- Supervising FSC team
- Reviewing audits and ensuring compliance
- Participating in community audits and meetings
