Summary of Position:

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker serves as a specialist within complex surgical procedure pipeline, providing psych evaluations for patients that are pending for outpatient procedures on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities

Assist Providers by performing psych evaluations of patients to determine stability for treatment
Assess patient mental health through interviews and review of patient chart while educating patients on overall wellness, health maintenance, and suitability for surgical treatments
Collaborate with Providers for best course of medical treatment for all SSJC patients
Follow all compliant protocols and attention to details related to patient care and management
Comfortable working in a growing, dynamic organization and able to navigate change
Maintain a safe clean work environment as well as perform other duties as assigned

Skills And Abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Strong interpersonal skills when working with patients
Strong written communication skills
Working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD.10 coding, and medical pre-certification and prior authorization protocols
