ICA is a faith based Christian organization and began in 1990 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. We stand on Biblical principles in all we do lending hospitality and sanctuary to all who are in need coming into our care. ICA is dedicated in helping children and their families around the world and in the United States. Our staff are multi-lingual and multi-ethnic and professionally trained to assist in various trauma informed capacities. ICA promotes and secures the emotional, spiritual and physical welfare of children who have been victimized, abandoned or persecuted; found in the streets, war zones, government run institutions, refugee camps or family homes and provides them a family they can call their own through relative placement, foster care or adoption. We are looking for people who want to make a difference in the lives of children, people who are ministry minded.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides IN HOME VISITS to Foster Care Families (Caregivers) providing support and behavioral tools to assist in their providing care to at risk older teens.
- Assists Foster families with completing all initial and formal application paperwork for SAFE home study and processes.
- Carry a refugee youth caseload of 15 cases
- Writes comprehensive reports- TILP, NSP, ISP, GOAL SETTING, CFT, Narratives
- Monitors homes ensuring licensing standards, state laws and regulatory requirements are being met.
- Assist family in understanding specific program expectations.
- Assist family in understanding roles of staff, services offered youth in programs and expectations associated with this.
- Maintains timely and accurate client records in compliance with ICA and governmental requirements.
- May assist or be responsible for training for foster care
- May assist or be responsible for writing recruitment plans and implementing or participating in recruitment activities.
- May assist with coordinating the sharing of information for adoption matching procedures for children and families.
- May assist or be responsible for facilitating support groups and/or orientation.
- Prepares quarterly reports, spreadsheets and all Quality Assurance requirements
- Prepares all guardianship paperwork on behalf of agency coordinating efforts with county stakeholders, courts and/or attorneys.
- Participates in ICA program and statewide committees as assigned.
- Must be able to safely and effectively monitor consumer activities, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Performs other duties as assigned which are consistent with the general responsibilities of the position.
- Responsible for all RFA compliance areas in case files.
- Files family paperwork.
- Becomes certified to supervise supervised birthparent or relative visitations.
- Provides occasional transport to youth to obtain services of Medi-Cal, social security, tutoring, legal, etc.
- Provides occasional assistance to social workers who need assistance with paperwork.
Ensures that all program expectations are clear and understood.
Assists with training families
Assists with CFT and family meetings
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
MSW
Experience in the foster care system a big plus
Intercultural mission work or travel a plus
At least 3 years relevant experience past degree
Bilingual a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
