Position: Weekday Overnight Counselor

Full-Time

Location: Hempstead, NY

Salary: $21/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 12am - 8am

Description

Concern Housing is seeking a Weekday Overnight Counselor primarily responsible for monitoring the safety of residents and the site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in Concern’s personnel manual.
Read logs for updates, instructions, and assignments.
Provide counseling as needed; redirect to regular staff when appropriate.
Perform crisis intervention as necessary.
Conduct weekly medication counts, verify accuracy, and document accordingly.
Perform hourly walk-throughs of the site during the shift.
Unlock the kitchen and set out food for breakfast.
Assist in monitoring morning medications as needed.
Prompt clients needing to wake early.
Attend monthly staff meetings and all required trainings, including Relias Learning.
Participate in agency forums and stay current with all compliance documents and trainings.

Salary Range: $21.00 per hour

Position Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
