CSD adjunct instructor - CSD 2078 - PHYSICS, PHYSIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY OF SOUND
Job Responsibilities: Design, implementation, and management of the course CSD 2078 - PHYSICS, PHYSIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY OF SOUND (3 credit, graduate level course)
The course aims to provide an advanced understanding of sound, encompassing its physical nature, biological processing, and psychological interpretation. This knowledge can be valuable for students interested in fields like audiology, acoustics, audio engineering, music, psychology, or speech-language pathology. The course offers a comprehensive understanding of sound production, transmission, reception, and interpretation as it relates to human communication and assessment of the auditory system.
The syllabus will be consistent with SHRS and CSD standards. Course content, assessment, and instructional mode will be consistent with the curriculum and accreditation requirements and will be guided by the Program Director to ensure the appropriateness of the content.
Applicant Requirements: Individuals applying for this position will have a master's degree and/or Ph.D. in communication science, hearing science, audiology, or a related field. Teaching experience is preferred.
