Certified Substance Use Disorder Clinician - LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW

- Provides direct clinical work and/or therapeutic services to clients and families, with a specialized treatment focus on substance use issues.
- Complies with productivity standards of the Agency and maintains an appropriate caseload to reach the budgeted daily expectation of billable hours.
- Submits timely documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, notes to chart) as outlined in policy.
- Continually assesses the needs and symptoms of clients and families, formulating psychosocial diagnosis, gathering history, and determining the most appropriate methods of providing treatment.
- Provides consultation and psychoeducation to Agency Clinical staff for the development and implementation of effective treatment plans to address client's substance use issues.
- Continually assesses client progress and modifies treatment via completion and submission of outcome measures.
- Accurately documents all work with client and/or family and/or relevant persons as measured by QA standards and peer review audit results.
- Participates in clinical/case supervision by coming prepared to discuss current caseload, documentation, and productivity; accepts constructive feedback and direction; and puts feedback into clinical and/or therapeutic practice with clients.
- Provides psychoeducation on substance use and co-occurring disorders with individuals, families, and groups.
- Advocates for clients (court, medical, mediation, medication, and visitations) with the goal to ensure satisfactory placement of a child in a safe, permanent, and stable home setting.
- Establishes and maintains rapport and effective working relationships with children, families, and community; works effectively within the Agency and community at large.
- Maintains knowledge of program standards and policies as developed by Five Acres, COA, Community Care Licensing and other governing bodies; develops personal and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in in-service programs.
- Maintains confidentiality over all information regarding clients, families, and operations of the Agency.
Qualifications
To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have:
- AOD Counselor Certification under CA Licensing and Certification (CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP) and must maintain licensure and AOD Counselor certification (if applicable) as a condition of employment.
- LMFT, LCSW or LPCC, preferred license issued by the State of California.
- Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
- Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Ability to attend Pro Act de-escalating system training.
- Must have a valid California Driver License and availability of a personal car with proof of insurance which employee is willing to use for all Agency business, as needed.
- Demonstrates ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Working knowledge of community resources that address the special needs of the client base.
- Effective communication skills both oral and written; bi-lingual skills in Spanish/English may be preferred.
- Computer skills sufficient to meet production demands of the job including Microsoft Office and WELLIGENT software for program notes.
- Ability to work varied hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures of the Agency.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Compensation Range: $71,333/yr - $109,467/yr
