The VA's Mental Health Service Line is looking for dedicated Psychologists to join our Primary Care-Mental Health Integration (PC-MHI) program. This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment within primary care, delivering vital mental health services to Veterans, primary care providers, and Patient Alliance Care Team (PACT) members. Position Highlights: Collaborative Environment: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing brief, consultation-based services. Diverse Responsibilities: Deliver evidence-based interventions, conduct functional assessments, provide crisis intervention, and refer to specialty care services as needed. Behavioral Medicine Interventions: Assist Veterans with tobacco cessation, alcohol misuse management, weight management, coping with chronic illness, stress management, sleep hygiene, and relaxation training. MOVE! Program: Lead or co-lead MOVE! Groups, conduct individual appointments, and support patients in weight loss and other health concerns with behavioral health strategies. Leadership and Supervision: Serve on Medical Center or National VA committees, supervise pre-doctoral interns, practicum students, and post-doctoral fellows, and engage in educational and peer review activities. Qualifications: Expertise in delivering brief mental health and behavioral interventions Ability to conduct rapid, functional assessments and triage appropriately Experience with behavioral medicine interventions and population-based care Benefits: Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Pay: $84,619 - $156,790 per year, with competitive salary and regular increases based on qualifications Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual leave per year Federal Benefits: Federal pension plan (5 years vesting) and 401K with up to 5% contributions from the VA Comprehensive health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care insurance Up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave after 12 months of employment Childcare subsidy for eligible employees with a total family income below $144,000 Additional Details: Telework: May be eligible for ad-hoc telework as needed.
