Now Hiring: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) – New SUD Inpatient Facility | Riverside, CA

Are you passionate about helping others find freedom from addiction? Do you want to be part of a mission-driven team launching a new, innovative inpatient SUD program in Riverside? We’re looking for a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to help us build something meaningful—starting with compassionate, evidence-based care.

Your Role:

As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), you’ll provide specialized substance use counseling and support to individuals receiving inpatient treatment. You’ll work closely with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate recovery through:

  • Individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Comprehensive substance use assessments and treatment planning.
  • Crisis intervention and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Discharge planning and connecting clients to aftercare resources.
  • Psychoeducational group facilitation on recovery and life skills.
  • Advocacy, education, and unwavering support for clients and their families.
  • Support patient safety, de-escalation, and trauma-informed care.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists to deliver excellent care.
  • Be part of a supportive team culture focused on empathy, dignity, and healing.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current CADC certification in California.Minimum 2 years’ experience in substance use disorder treatment.Strong group facilitation and counseling skills.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and co-occurring disorders.Familiarity with 12-step models and other recovery approaches.
  • EHR proficiency and a commitment to thorough documentation.
  • Compassionate, ethical, and professional demeanor.
  • BLS/CPR Certification.
  • Calm under pressure, quick on your feet, and kind to your core.
  • Team player with a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals from high-stress professions; our facility proudly serves First Responders and other front-line professionals navigating recovery.
  • Former military and first responders are a plus and strongly encouraged to apply. We value your service, experience, and resilience.
