Job Description

Summary:
Seeking a certified School Psychologist to support the academic, emotional, and behavioral success of PK‑12 students in a rural setting. Ideal candidates will conduct psychoeducational evaluations, lead IEP and eligibility meetings, and provide counseling and intervention. This is a highly collaborative role focused on shaping a positive school climate through direct services and preventive programming.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments (cognitive, achievement, behavior)
• Lead and participate in IEP and eligibility meetings with multidisciplinary teams
• Develop tiered intervention strategies and behavior plans (FBA/BIP) for students
• Provide short‑term counseling and crisis support for individual or small groups
• Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to support student development
• Design and implement preventive and resilience‑building programs
• Maintain confidential records, documentation, and compliance with NYS regulations

Experience You’ll Need:

• Valid NYS School Psychologist certification (PPS or equivalent)
• Experience conducting evaluations and writing psychoeducational reports
• Familiarity with NY IDEA regulations, IEP development, and behavior assessment
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to deliver counseling and consultation services in a school setting
