Be part of a fresh vision for Special Education under new district leadership, working within a stable, well-led middle school environment where consistent leadership fosters growth and success.What You'll Need on Day OneComfort and experience working with a wide range of learning, behavioral, and emotional disabilities typical of middle school studentsAbility to navigate both general education and modified learning curricula tailored to diverse student needsPreparedness to take ownership of a self-contained classroom setting and provide focused social-emotional supportFirst Day & OnboardingNew Teacher Orientation: August 11Full Staff Return: August 18School Year Begins: August 21Onboarding includes:Familiarization with middle school students, IEPs, and 504 plansSetting up schedules and learning district systemsMeeting colleagues and forming connections within the school communityTypical Day/Week OverviewProvide primarily 1:1 pull-out support to middle school students with Emotional Disabilities (ED) and Behavioral Disabilities (BD)Deliver interventions focused on emotional regulation, coping strategies, and conflict resolutionOffer in-classroom support for behavior de-escalation and proactive co-regulation strategiesCollaborate regularly with teachers and staff to develop and implement behavior plans and classroom supportsSchool CultureThe school has a strong emphasis on delivering quality special education and related services.
