ABOUT THE ROLE

The social worker is responsible for the implementation of standards of care for medical social services for the company.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
  • One (1) year experience in health care, hospice experience preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation, proof of current automobile insurance and a valid driver’s license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Advances professional knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Knowledge and commitment to hospice philosophy
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Communicate effectively with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Understanding of grief response and experience with counseling individuals and/or in groups regarding loss.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Schedule is PRN / Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, 2-3 days a week. Days are flexible but must be available every Friday.
  • Cover the Clarke County and surrounding area
