SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Family Preservation Program, assisting in intensive, home-based, office-based, and community-based services to high-risk families. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with the Program Director to develop, implement, and reassess service plans in conjunction with family members and Social Services Agency (SSA) workers.
• Execute service plans through customized, behaviorally specific agreements.
• Provide a wide range of services, including parenting skills, infant and child care, household management, linking to community resources, crisis intervention, and more.
• Engage in case management, brokerage services, and maintain relationships with key community resources.
• Maintain accurate case records, complete necessary forms, and report child abuse/neglect concerns.
• Address substance abuse issues and assess and deliver clinical interventions with a culturally sensitive approach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in mental health, social work, or a related field preferred; relevant experience with families and children may be considered.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Experience and willingness to provide hands-on, intensive, community-based services with quick problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with home based and/or family based services for families and children dealing with child abuse, neglect, incarceration, and substance abuse preferred.
• Familiarity with the child welfare systems and agencies serving families in Alameda and Contra Costa counties preferred.
• Display maturity, tolerance, understanding, and sensitivity to the challenges of high-risk families.
• Possession of a valid California driver's license, a clear DMV record, current automobile registration, and an insured automobile in good working condition.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to receive clearance through a fingerprint/background check (criminal and child abuse).
• Requires California drivers’ license, auto registration and an insured automobile in good working condition.
• Vaccination for COVID-19 required.

SALARY:
The starting salary range for this position is $60,000-$68,000 per year DOE.
