Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals facing mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will work closely with patients, assisting in their treatment plans and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. Duties

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with daily activities.
• Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by licensed mental health professionals.
• Conduct case management tasks, ensuring that patient records are accurately maintained and updated.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and support their participation in group therapy sessions.
• Document patient progress and behavior accurately using ICD-9 coding as necessary.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to promote effective treatment outcomes.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving mental health practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to all hospital protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred, particularly within a hospital or outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and practices is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes and psychotherapy techniques is advantageous.
• Experience with Christian counseling approaches is a plus but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
