Job Summary
The Bilingual Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients within the healthcare setting. This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, putting together treatment plans, understanding financials regarding insurance and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service in a clinic environment along with strong critical thinking skills. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
- Coordinate medical scheduling to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal use of resources.
- Manage medical billing processes, including verifying insurance information and processing payments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist with office management tasks, including inventory management and supply ordering.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care.
- Support patients through the intake process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Scheduling patient appointment by phone, online and in person.

- Put together financial treatment plans based on patients insurance. This requires basic math skills but critical thinking when understanding what insurance covers vs patient responsibility.

Skills
- Proficiency in clinic operations and understanding of medical office management principles.
- Experience with medical billing and coding practices is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in medical scheduling and managing patient service inquiries effectively.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical records management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and schedules.

-Ability to understand insurance eligibility and comfortable with Availity and other insurance platforms to obtain insurance verification.

- Ability to learn quickly about what our clinic offers so you can better assist potential patients with questions about our services.

Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Medical office experience with a focus on administrative tasks
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff
- Basic knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures in order to effectively communicate with the billing and coding team
- Ability to manage medical records accurately and efficiently
- Experience in office management within a medical clinic setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
