About Job

At Beyond Hospice, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic care to patients and families during life’s most delicate moments. As part of our commitment to comprehensive end-of-life care, we are seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through the healing power of music.


Wage: $25.00–$33.97/hr. depending on experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide individualized music therapy sessions for hospice patients and families in homes, facilities, or inpatient settings.
  • Conduct thorough music therapy assessments addressing emotional, spiritual, social, and psychological needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based music therapy interventions tailored to clinical goals (e.g., pain and symptom management, stress reduction, emotional expression, spiritual support).
  • Adapt music and techniques to align with cultural preferences and unique patient needs.
  • Document clinical notes and therapy outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other hospice professionals during interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Travel within the assigned territory to provide in-person therapy sessions.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in music therapy from an AMTA-accredited program.
  • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
  • Previous experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, emotional intelligence, and compassionate communication.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based setting while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance in accordance with state/organizational requirements.
