A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the 2024-25 school year, providing services to two schools covering all K-12 grade levels. This role is ideal for professionals who have expertise in behavioral support and are eager to support diverse student populations within a dynamic educational environment. The position requires onsite presence to engage directly with students, staff, and families; hybrid arrangements may be considered, but fully virtual work is not available.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified School Psychologist in Maryland (out-of-state certification and new graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Experience with K-12 student populations
- Behavioral experience is highly valued
- Ability to work onsite within the school setting
- Strong interpersonal and assessment skills
Location & Schedule:
- Position is based in the Bowie, MD area with opportunities to serve surrounding regions near Prince Frederick, MD (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Baltimore and 45-50 minutes from Washington, D.C.)
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Contract duration covers the full 2024-25 school year
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students across all grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
- Provide consultation and support for behavioral and mental health concerns
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to academic and social-emotional interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district regulations
