The BCBA provides and manages all aspects of ABA therapy services for their assigned clients with autism and other developmental delays to enhance their overall well-being and quality of life. Services include, but are not limited to, conducting assessments, developing ABA programs, parent training and providing supervision and training to LBS, RBTs and BHTs and are provided in homes, schools, centers and in the community. The BCBA uses evidence-based practices and interventions to modify behaviors, create positive behavior improvement and skills acquisition. In addition, the BCBA interacts with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for their assigned client(s). The BCBA is responsible to maintain their licenses and follow the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) ethics code and requirements.
- Team supervisor; develop positive relationships with clients, their families, and staff
- Supervision of behavior technicians; weekly hands on training and monitoring programs
- Treatment planning of client's individualized clinical program and analyzing their effectiveness
- Parent training; developing positive relationships with parents and weekly training sessions to teach them ABA principles
