**Latchkey Program Staff**

Join our Latchkey team at Best Friends Day Care Centers, LLC where we provide Before and Afterschool services for the West Shore School District and STEAM Academy in downtown Harrisburg. With over 30 years of experience, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and educational environment for children to thrive.

**Responsibilities:**

- Engage with children in educational activities and provide tutoring support as needed.

- Implement behavior management techniques to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.

- Create and implement daily activities.

- Collaborate with colleagues to create a dynamic and inclusive program for all children.

- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure the well-being of all children.

- Contribute to the overall success of thelatchkey program through active participation.

**Skills:**

- Experience in tutoring, early childhood education, or babysitting is preferred.

- Knowledge of behavior management and special education practices.

- Understanding of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.

- Ability to educate and engage children effectively in a childcare setting.

- Familiarity with first aid procedures is a plus.

Hours are 6:30-8:30am and/or 3:30-6:00 pm.

We are currently hiring for the following locations/shifts.

Redmill Elementary - AM shift only

Fishing Creek Elementary- PM shift only

Washington Heights Elementary- AM Shift only

Rossmoyne Elementary- AM & PM Shift

Hillside Elementary - AM & PM Shift

Fairview Intermediate -AM & PM Shift

Old Trail Intermediate - AM & PM Shift

STEAM Academy- AM & PM Shift

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 22.5 per week
