Position Summary
The Lead Behavior Analyst will apply principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help improve the overall behavior of the students being served in the program. The Lead Behavior Analyst will evaluate, design and implement individualized intervention plans to help students develop new skills, modify existing behaviors/reduce problem behaviors, promote positive behaviors and improve overall functioning. This position will collaborate and consult with classroom teams regarding student behavior. The Lead Behavior Analyst will have to be knowledgeable about the implementation of the program’s house system.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Observes classrooms while taking ABC data on highlighted students.
2. Creates and design effective Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).
3. Assists teams in the development of behavior plans based on the data, observations, assessments and FBA.
4. Collaborates with classroom teams on effective intervention strategies and behavior management techniques.
5. Oversees the creation of individualized interventions for students.
6. Models behavior management strategies
7. Acts as a resource for classroom support.
8. Utilizes technology through electronic documentation, electronic communication and use of the internet to supplement programming.
9. Assists in the creation of individualized plans that break down skills into small measurable steps.
10. Effectively uses techniques like positive reinforcement to help students learn and improve.
11. Oversees the Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) of the House System and
12. the positive behavior systems related to it.
13. Demonstrates a proficient level of cultural sensitivity.
14. Builds positive and productive relationships with a diverse population.
Qualifications
- State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Working Conditions.

Experience
Required- Knowledge of the RCA House System
- 5 year(s): Experience in an educational setting implementing behavioral management techniques.
Education
Required- Masters or better in Education
Licenses & Certifications
Required- Board Cert Behav Analyst
