Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Substance Abuse Counsler to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health services to individuals and families, focusing on patient assessment, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide psychotherapy services to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Offer child and family counseling, addressing the needs of both children and their families in therapeutic settings.
  • Implement crisis management techniques and interventions for clients experiencing acute psychological distress.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations to identify mental health disorders and recommend appropriate treatment options.
  • Engage in psychopharmacology discussions with clients when necessary, coordinating with prescribing professionals as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for individuals facing immediate psychological challenges, including PTSD care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing research initiatives aimed at improving mental health practices within the organization.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Behavorial Health Field from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure LPCA, LPCC, LMFT, MFTA, LCSW, CSW.
  • Proven experience in patient assessment, psychotherapy, and crisis management within a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child family counseling techniques and practices.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and psychopharmacology principles is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining client records and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while demonstrating empathy and compassion for clients.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
