Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Residents in Counseling-LPC/LCSW's to join our team. The Resident/Supervisee will provide outpatient counseling services to clients with diverse backgrounds and presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy using evidence-based interventions
- Conduct initial assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and maintain timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and professional standards
- Collaborate with the clinical team, supervisors, and administrative staff to ensure quality care
- Attend supervision and professional development opportunities as required
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and uphold the ethical standards of practice
- Utilize the practice’s electronic health record (EHR) for all documentation and billing
- Deliver services via telehealth
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
- Active Resident in Counseling status with the Virginia Board of Counseling
- Professional liability insurance (minimum $1M/$3M coverage)
- Reliable transportation for in-office sessions, if applicable
- Experience with or openness to working with diverse populations
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to ethical practice, personal growth, and ongoing learning
