Fair Labor Standards Act Classification: Exempt

The Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC or LCAC) provides information, assessment, crisis intervention and other mental health services to assigned patients. The therapist would develop individualized treatment plans for patients.

The therapist conducts and coordinates mental health counseling to include but is not limited to: family, marriage, drug/alcohol referrals and social assessments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Completes diagnostic summaries and communicates assessment findings and recommendations to the treatment team.
  • Determines if person needs crisis intervention or long-term care.
  • Counsels patients and families regarding emotional, social and financial consequences of illness and/or disability
  • Provides mental health counseling to include crisis intervention and short-term counseling for patients and families.
  • Enters treatment, writes patient progress notes, updates, continuing care plans, necessary consents, referrals and follow-up activities in the patient's chart
  • Participates in continuing education programs for professional growth.
  • Develops professional referral relationships and resources to help patients in ways not available through the health center system itself.

Position Schedule
  • 8am-5pm four days a week and 11:30am-8pm one day a week.
  • Hybrid work environment. Required to work one day a week in the health center and then can work remotely.
