Job Description Summary
MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout the state of South Carolina.

This position will work with the day treatment team to develop and implement clinically appropriate treatment plans for interventions for patients in the program.

Job Description

The Clinical Counselor with the Children's Day treatment program reports to the Program Manager. Under the direction of a independently licensed clinician, the Clinical Counselor is responsible for providing behavioral health care as directed by the multi-disciplinary treatment plan, including but not limited to facilitation of psychosocial rehab groups, behavior modification, individual therapeutic interventions and promotes the safety of the therapeutic environment. The Clinical Counselor assists with orientation and training of new employees, is involved in program development and implementation and represents the program on school wide teams and committees as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Credentials: BSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners. Certification in case management preferred.
