Join us as a Residential Counselor (Part-Time) at Jewish Family and Children's Services of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties

We are seeking caring and dedicated individuals to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, such as autism, in a residential setting. This role involves helping residents achieve independence, develop life skills, and participate actively in the community.

Position Overview

As a Residential Counselor, you will work closely with residents to implement Individual Program Plans, support daily routines, promote independence, and facilitate community integration. Residents are in their 20s and 30s, motivated to grow socially and independently, and live in a supportive group setting.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay Rate: $27/hour
  • Shift: Saturday and Sunday, 2:00PM - 10:00PM (~15 hours/week)
  • Part-time, non-exempt position with no benefits, with opportunities for career advancement and a hiring bonus (eligibility required)
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and follow individualized plans to promote independence and life skills
  • Support residents in daily activities including meal prep, hygiene, safety, and medication management
  • Encourage community participation and social skill development
  • Document activities and progress accurately
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in human services or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and general computer skills
  • Pre-employment TB test, physical, and drug screening required
