JOB SUMMARY
This positionprovides administrative and clerical support to the School of Social Work andthe
Broken ArrowLiberal Arts Building.
MAJOR DUTIES
Administrativeand Clerical Support: School of Social Work and Broken Arrow Liberal Arts
Building
Administrative and clerical support responsibilitiesinclude:
Answerstelephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes
messages; refersto appropriate personnel.
Review andprocess personnel action forms including status changes, transfers,
promotions anddemotions, which are critical for payroll purposes.
Compile dataand prepare reports and directed.
Types letters,memoranda, email.
Sets up andmaintains personnel files and records.
Processesdepartmental travel arrangements and reimbursement requests.
Maintainsoffice supplies; reorders as needed.
Maintainsoffice equipment.
Sorts anddistributes mail.
Makes appointmentsand manages calendars.
Processpurchase orders; process purchase card statements.
Maintains avariety of documents and forms.
Performsrelated duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
Knowledge ofmodern office practices.
Knowledge ofuniversity human resources policies and procedures.
Skill inmeeting designated deadlines for work product.
Skill inoperation of computers and job related software programs.
Skill indecision making and problem solving.
Skill in interpersonalrelations and in dealing with the public.
Skill in oraland written communications.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
The workconsists of related secretarial duties. Frequent interruptions contribute tothe
complexity ofthe position. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative andclerical
support fordepartment operations. Success in this position contributes to theefficiency and
effectivenessof those operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be capableof maintaining regular attendance.
Knowledge andlevel of competency commonly associated with the completion of
specializedtraining in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated
with a highschool education.
Sufficientexperience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties ofthe
position,usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship orhaving
had a similarposition for one to two years.
Annual salary $25,536.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
Anticipated hire date: 8/04/2025
